A welcome message from the ISAKOS President and the 2021 Program Chair

We look forward to welcoming you, in person, to the 13th Biennial ISAKOS Congress in Cape Town, South Africa. The ISAKOS Congress, which will be offered live in late November 2021, is considered the premier international meeting, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to come together with colleagues to share, discuss and learn the latest advancements in arthroscopy, knee surgery and sports medicine.

For all who attend, the ISAKOS Congress will provide myriad educational opportunities. This includes a variety of new and cutting-edge surgical techniques and approaches to clinical management, combined with overviews of current controversies in orthopaedic practice. Participants will enjoy the variety of formats, from debates and global case-based discussions to symposia, ICLs, and round-table panel discussions.

Abstracts are being reviewed and accepted for both podium presentations and electronic posters, from presenters around the world. In addition, exceptional abstracts will be considered for several ISAKOS Awards for outstanding clinical or laboratory research, which will be presented at this live event. Therefore, we encourage all abstract authors to confirm their commitment to ISAKOS 2021 Congress.

Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa, colloquially named the Mother City. This city has it all–from the natural wonder of Table Mountain to award-winning wines, and breathtaking scenic beauty. Cape Town offers something for everyone, and we hope you will join us there. A variety of Congress social events will also be offered including a Welcome Reception, a spouse and guest program and tour assistance.
